NEARLY 51,000 UNEMPLOYED YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TRAINED OR EMPLOYED WITH EUROPEAN FUNDS

Nearly 51,000 young people under the age of 29 have started work and received vocational training through the subsidized employment programmess - Youth Employment and Training and Employment for Young People.

After completing the internships or on-the-job training under Youth Employment, about 15,000 young people remained in permanent employment. 21,302 completed training during work and 6,347 internships. The funds spent so far are BGN 100.5 million, and the budget of the programme is BGN 117.4 million.

The Training and Employment for Young People project provided employment to 23,310 unemployed young people, 21,569 of whom were employed directly and 1,741 signed contracts after completing vocational training or key competences. Nearly BGN 83.6 million were spent on the operation. The budget of the measure is BGN 115.8 million.

The main objective of the programmes is to cover inactive and unemployed people under the age of 29, by stimulating their employment through internships and / or training during work and to facilitate their transition from education to employment.
