Minister Efremova: The Social System is No Place for Experiments

"I have worked at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (MLSP) for many years. I know every unit, every directorate and every single expert. The social system is no place for political experiments and will be managed in the best possible way so that people who need support can receive it. Support must be focused – reaching those who are in genuine need." This was stated by the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Nataliya Efremova, during the official handover ceremony from her predecessor, Dr. Hasan Ademov. She outlined inclusive policy as her priority, aimed at allowing all social groups to reach their full potential.
"I was recently gifted the book ‘Why Nations Fail.’ It best illustrates why inclusive policy is important. When there is no inclusive policy that engages the interests of all stakeholders, nations cannot prosper," Minister Efremova stated. She added that she would also support social dialogue so that people can earn a decent income: "So they can move forward in a better and more progressive Bulgaria."
Nataliya Efremova committed to full transparency in the management of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. "I am a responsible individual; my core expertise lies in the management of European funds and resources. In this field, accountability is paramount. I will be guided by this same accountability as Minister. As soon as I form a team, I will present it, along with the priorities we intend to implement," Efremova mentioned.
She addressed the MLSP team with emotion: "I can only succeed with you; you are the best and you know it."
Dr. Hasan Ademov, for his part, thanked all the employees at the Ministry. "Mrs. Efremova is a distinguished expert. With the support of the entire team, things in our ministry and in the country will happen," he noted. Ademov wished the new minister success in meeting the expectations of Bulgarian citizens.
