Around 32,000 disabled and elderly people will receive care at home under HRDP 2021-2027.

Around 32,000 disabled people and elderly people who are dependent on care will receive integrated services according to their individual needs under the measure “Care at Home”. The procedure is funded under the Human Resources Development Programme (2021-2027) of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and is now open for applications from the Managing Authority of the programme. Project proposals can be submitted by municipalities and it is acceptable to apply in partnership with other municipalities. The budget of the procedure is BGN 175 million. The main objective of the measure “Care at Home” is to provide support in the home environment for people with disabilities and elderly people who are dependent on care.

The operation “Care at Home” will expand opportunities for the provision of social and integrated health and social services in the home environment. The services will be provided to those in need for a period of 12 months and will include the supply of food and necessities, prevention of health and socially significant diseases and assistance, provision of psychological support. The measure will also provide staff transport to and from the homes of people in need, as well as staff training and supervision.

The deadline for submission of project proposals by the municipalities is 31 January 2023. The conditions and application documents are published on the HRDP website and on the EUMIS.
