The Government gave their consent for the Managing Authority of the Operational Program “Human Resources Development” 2014-2020 to conclude contracts for grants of up to 1.76% above the budget of the Operational Program in order to provide additional funds for financing the measures to combat the effects of the coronavirus.

Thus, an additional financial resource of 40 million BGN will be provided. It will focus on the procedure “Short-term Employment Aid in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic” with a specific beneficiary the Employment Agency, under which employers, self-employed persons and municipal enterprises in the field of hotel and restaurant management, transport and tourism can receive compensations for maintaining of the employment of their employees in the amount of 290 BGN per month.

The additional 40 million BGN will be able to secure the applications of employers and self-employed persons for receiving these funds, and the period for accepting applications for payment of compensations will be extended until 31.03.2021.
