The government has adopted a National Strategy for Reduction of Poverty and Promotion of Social Inclusion covering the period until 2030. The document outlines a strategic framework for developing policies related to overcoming poverty and promoting social inclusion over the next decade. The main objective of the measures and activities planned is to improve the quality of life of vulnerable groups and create conditions for their full involvement through adequate income support, labour market inclusion and access to quality services.

The strategy will be implemented through three-year action plans which will include specific measures and activities, responsible institutions, financial resources and indicators. Their objective is to implement the priorities for sustainable integration on the labour market of inactive and unemployed persons, ensuring equal access to quality preschool and school education and quality health care.

The priority of the strategic document is to create affordable and quality social and integrated services and support, as well as an effective and targeted financial and material support for those in need. Among the most important objective is the provision of an accessible architectural, institutional, information and transport environment, the improvement of the living conditions of vulnerable groups and the support of the homeless.

The strategy will be financed by the funds planned in the budgets of the responsible institutions through the state budget for the respective year and by the European funds.
