The project "Prevention of Discrimination and Opening of New Opportunities" reduces barriers to full participation of Bulgarian citizens in the labour market and provides access to quality social and health services. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy Zornitsa Rusinova at a round table on the completion of the initiative, implemented by the Commission for Protection against Discrimination, financed by the Human Resources Development Operational Programme.
She pointed out that the work on the project has expanded the opportunities for new partnerships in both the public and the private sector. Ms Rusinova praised the project implementation and pointed out that the joint work between the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the Commission for Protection against Discrimination continues with the fulfilment of the plan for certification of public and private organisations when observing the principles of equal opportunities.
Ms Rusinova commented that the debates on the topic and the conclusions drawn under the project are important because gender equality is among the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
